e-MANV. MASS CASUALTY INCIDENTS UNDER CONTROL
The e-manv module supplements metropolyNEO with a particularly important feature: The processing of mass casualty incidents.
For this, e-manv inherits all proven properties of the product family – complete networking with offline capability, connection to incident command systems, scalability and a modern, clearly structured user interface that is designed both for touch operation on tablets and use with a keyboard and mouse on PCs/laptops.
e-manv perfectly complements the e-lan and e-mas modules, creating a complete solution, encompassing treatment tent admission, registration and triage of casualties, force management and transport coordination through to the complete documentation of all activities and connection of the responders, including their constant supply with up-to-date, anonymized casualty numbers.
metropolyNEO’s connection to incident command systems means that e-manv also offers the partial automation of processes, reducing the amount of manual data entry required. This means, for example, that the scene, vehicles alerted and the status are automatically updated for the incident periodically. It is, of course, also possible to add resources manually, such as casualty accommodation options for example.
e-manv is used to manage the specific activities performed by responders at the treatment station or casualty staging area, including the quick triage of casualties, their allocation to suitable hospitals and the coordination of casualty transporting. It supports multiple transports as well as the temporary accommodation of ‘green’ casualties (walking wounded) for the purpose of observation and superficial treatment.
The comprehensive, reliable documentation of casualties and their whereabouts solves a major problem in the management of mass casualty situations. With complete documentation of which patients were transported to which hospital, which persons left the scene with minor injuries, requiring only superficial treatment or were perhaps handed over to the police, information is available as required with no extensive research. This is all possible, even during an ongoing incident, thanks to the fully networked metropolyNEO.
e-manv can be used as a mobile system on Windows tablets/laptops, connected to a metropolyNEO Node server on a command vehicle over WiFi, or as a stationary system on a central metropolyNEO server.
